Position Summary
Arkansas Arts Academy is seeking a highly qualified and innovative educator to teach at the high school level in grades 8 through 12. This position is responsible for delivering rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that prepares students for college, careers, and industry pathways in technology. The ideal candidate fosters problem solving, computational thinking, creativity, and ethical technology use.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in the subject area.
Integrate hands-on, project-based learning experiences
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records
Prepare students for advanced coursework, certifications, or concurrent credit opportunities when applicable
Participate in required meetings, professional development, and school events
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Must hold a valid Arkansas teaching license with appropriate secondary certification in Computer Science or an approved Career and Technical Education technology area
Demonstrated knowledge of computer science principles and instructional best practices
Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
